Self Nutritional Analysis

Assignment

 

  1. Go to www.google.com
  2. Type in ‘nutritional analysis’ in the blank search bar, then double click on google search.
  3. Double click on Nutritional Analysis Tool (tool v.1.0 NAT)
  4. Double click on Direct to NAT.
  5. Scroll down to Age and Gender Category. Click on the arrow to choose a category that matches your age and gender.
  6. Scroll up to Nutrients to be Analyzed. Check the circle next to protein, carbohydrates, calories, and fat.
  7. Scroll up to Analysis Results Format and click on the circle next to Table.
  8. Scroll up to add a new food. Put the ‘general’ food type in the ‘add food’ bar. This will allow you to narrow your search to a food similar or identical to what you ate. When you have found the food item you are looking for be sure to check the circle on the left before clicking the Add Selected Food button.
  9. Choose the number of servings and change the serving sizes to the exact amount of ounces or grams that you consumed. You will have to look at the label of the food item to figure out the serving size per container and serving size ounces/grams. The foods you chose should be from a typical day of eating. Do not try to impress your teacher. This information is for you to analyze your own diet.
  10. When you are finished choosing all of your foods, click on the left of each food you consumed before clicking the Analyze Foods blue bar.
  11. Now chose ‘file" at the upper left corner and then print. DO NOT click on the blue printable format button.
  12. Turn in your completed project within a week of this assignment for an ‘A’.
